Here it is almost 12:30am and I am sitting here trying to turn the brain off and get in bed. Problem is Benjamin keeps waking up every hour or so crying his little eyes out. I go in and give him a new meme (paci) and try and get him to knock back out. This latest time ain't workin!!
He is overtired from his day today with Daddy and In-laws and I guess his body just won't let him relax due to no nap today. Hubbers met up with his parents and then attended their church picnic today with the kids. Of course he forgot the camera so I have no fun pictures for myself or you. Sorrrrry!
YYaaaawwwnnn I am off to bed - I think!

Happy Birthday Aaron!
Here it is and more time has passed by since I have blogged. Aaron is now officially 4 yrs old! Wow It just feels weird saying I have a 4 year old and a 1 year old. We just had a small family get together on Sunday the 12th (my dad's b-day) at TooJay's Deli and then to mama and papa's for cake and ice cream. Aaron got a few things there and his favorite by far were the transformers. Of course they were level 2 out of 5 in level of difficulty to transform and it took Renee and I over 5 minutes to figure out how to move them into the vehicles.
Here are a few pictures of that day
Aaron and his cousin Nathaniel
We hit Hair Cuttery before lunch so now Aaron really looks like a big boy!

Soooo....
In light of Aaron's 4th Birthday coming up next week would it be tacky to ask for money? To be added to his needed dental work fund. UGH! I cannot believe all the stuff that is wrong with his toofers! Take them kiddos to the Dentist people! He must have had a front tooth trauma at some point as his front top two teeth are a little loose and the roots are damaged so they want to completely pull those. They are not causing him pain though so I am not to thrilled with that idea at ALL. It's one thing if he lost them from an accident or on his own but to purposely take both bothers me a lot.
Momma is back on the feeling fat wagon. Well not really, but, yes really. LOL I am happy that I am still down a few pounds from when I started many moons ago. However I was lower at some points- not by much but it was still nice to see a lower number. I have to work on a game plan again that is for sure. I haven't been wanting fast food as much lately so I need to jump on that good thing and go with it. Taking lunch to work has been working out well. Of course it is nice taking leftovers in as my dinners are num! Hah
Tomorrow I am off again so I think I will dust off my South Beach Diet book and look through it. Diet or not the recipes in there are very healthy and balanced. We can all use that! I actually don't cook tooo horrible as I use white meat chicken and ground turkey for our meals. I also cut down on the amount of meat in recipes. It started as a meal streching thing but it works as a health thing as well. My issues are sweets and portion control (dinner wise)
My birthday is coming up soon too (same as Aaron's hehe) and we got my b-day present today. She is a cutie pie don't you think? I am trying to come up with a very girlie name for her. She is so friendly and to tiny. I have never seen such a itty guinea. Aaron just adores her! He makes such a production to pet her gentle and nice and from head to tail like I have taught him. I have misplaced the camera for now so until I find it then it will just be cell phones pics.

Homemade BUNS!
Now that Monster is safe at home I can brag about my buns. Hehe
I followed the recipe from here http://thesistersdish.blogspot.com/2009/04/homemade-hamburger-buns.html only modifiying it a tad bit. Basically I did not use castor sugar, I just used 1/4 cup (just under really) of regular sugar. These were baking while Hubby was out looking for Monty so I couldn't really enjoy the nummy smells coming from my oven. I am very happy with the way they turned out and I cannot wait to make dinner so that I can use these lovely buns. I am going to make Salmon patties for the first time. I have never made them and Dh has never had them. He does love salmon though so we should be safe.
Vacation

I am on Vacation from work right now but I do have to say that it most certainly does NOT feel that way!!!
Hubbers took a few days off this week too for us to get some stuff done around the house and hauled to the dump but with all the rain everyday it has made us very lazy. Today is Wed and DH is back to work for the day and it is supposed to be my one day to be free and do what I want to and I am so not motivated! I did just finish reading Julieann's blog though and that helped a bit. LOL Part of the downer is that our beagle boy Monty got loose last night. He was in the backyard and the neighbors behind us decided to test their fireworks I guess. Well Monty took off and we couldn't find him anywhere after both of us made several trips out into the night.
First thing this morning I took Benjamin to daycare so I could begin the hunt for Monty. I wanted to go check the pound to make sure no one had dropped him off. I was about 2 miles away when my phone rang with a unknown number. I answered as I had posted ads on freecycle, craigslist, and a local online paper. It was animal control! A kind woman picked him up last night running along a main road near our house and took him home. She had brought him in to see if he had a chip and he did so they called. The woman was willing to bring him to me if I was home but I told them I would be there very soon as I was already on my way there! YEAH! We are so thrilled to have Monty the Monster home! I took him up into town to see his Daddy (DH) and then we went to PetSmart to get some new ID Tags made as the others are long lost.
Showing off his new ID tag and collar.

6 years
June 21, 2003On Sunday June 21st Matthew and I celebrated our six year wedding anniversary. We had a simple day planned for ourselves. Inlaws took the kiddos so that we could go out to lunch (their treat) and then a movie. We ended up going into Tervis Tumblers and spending a nice chunk of change so we felt we should skip the $18 that we would pay for movie tickets. Instead we went home and relaxed without kids and watched a Pay-per-view movie that we both enjoyed- He's just not that into you. Then picked up the kiddos and had a nice evening with them.
Matthew and I met online on AOL 7.5 years ago. Never would I have thought that I would meet someone that compliments me so much on the internet. From the first few minutes of chatting in an IM I knew this was someone special. When we met (at a public local setting) I saw him first and wasn't sure if I wanted to actually meet him or run away. I did stay and meet him as I knew how well we had chatted by internet and at that point phone as well. I knew several people that had met their beloved's on the net. My own mother met my stepfather through a classified ad in the newspaper.
While six years and two children and countless other milestones have passed in our lives we have loved and laughed. Recently we realized that we were starting to not pay attention to each other as much and take one another for granted. I love that this is something that we were able to identify and fix on our own. I know our love is lasting and growing, always.
I once had someone tell me that the first five years of a marriage are the hardest. At the time I wasn't married and imagined that was a great truth and I hoped that I would be able to find someone that it wouldn't be true with. Well ok so we are on six years but I can honestly say that statement was not correct with us. Marriages do need attention and love to grow as all relationships do. I hope that you are as lucky or will be just as lucky as I am and find someone who compliments you so well.
I love you Matt, Matthew, Matchew, Father, Dada, Daddy I am so lucky to be your wife.
